Aiming to provide personalized service to all of our daycare dogs, we cap our daily intake at 30 dogs. Our daycare caters to dogs within the Marina Bay community, Squantum, and the neighborhood immediately adjacent to our location. Each dog is guaranteed AT LEAST 6 hours of monitored playtime and one walk per day.
Due to the residential nature of Marina Bay, our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm. If you can not pick up your dog by 4:00pm we offer drop off service for a minimal cost! Also ask about our new “extended day” add-on.
All dogs must be non-aggressive, have current vaccinations, and will go through our vetting process in order to make sure we are a good fit together!
PRICING
Day rate – $42/dog ($36/dog in same household)
15 pack – $605 (non-refundable, expires after 1 year)
30 pack – $1190 (non-refundable, expires after 1 year)
2 hour visit – $25 ($20/dog in same household) Owner must pick up and drop off. Call ahead required to verify availability.

Servicing Marina Bay, Squantum, and areas of North Quincy we provide a range of services to fit your dog’s needs!
10 minute bathroom break – $15 (+$3 per dog in same household)
Great for puppies or senior dogs as a quick check-in and potty break. We highly recommend this service for puppies under 6 months multiple times per day spaced 3-4 hours apart
20 minute group walk – $20 (+$10 per dog in same household)
A walk with no more than 2 other dogs. Dogs must have proper leash manners to be included in group walk for the safety of our staff and dogs
20 minute individual walk – $23
A perfect option for dogs who need more one on one attention or does not always play nice with other pups
35 minute playgroup – $24 (+$15 per dog in same household)
For dogs who need more than just a walk, your dog will travel in one of our walker’s cars to our fenced in dog yard. All dogs must be non-aggressive, neutered/spayed, and travel well in cars. This is our most sought after service so we have limited availability.
Come check out our state of the art DIY dog wash. Each wash name pays homage to someone who has helped The Modern Dog grow to where we are today. Being at The Marina, we thought what better way than to name a wash after their boat!
Shockwave – $8
A quick wash of your dog using our water and tubs. While this option does not include shampoo, you are entitled to using our colognes and towel and blow dryers.
*If you bring your own shampoo you will receive 10% off the No Tie Needed price. This is not considered The Shockwave*
No Tie Needed – $19
Our most popular option, this wash includes one of our scented shampoos, brushing, towel dry, blow dry, and cologne. (Big and Tall dogs add $2)
Axia – $23
Our top of the line wash includes everything included in No Tie Needed, with an additional a bandana and ear wipes (Big and Tall Dogs add $3)
Not in the mood to DIY? Schedule an appointment for a professional spa day for your pup! At our Marina Bay location we offer bath, brush, nails, and add-ons such as sanitary and paw trims.
Are you looking for a private space for your pup to hang out with his favorite pals? Contact us to rent our open “daycare space” for up to 5 dogs and 8 people! We can provide space for birthday parties, weekend get togethers, or curing the winter blues with a nice warm environment to play in.
Daycare Operates Monday through Friday at 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with extended day option to 6:00.
Our retail and wash area operates Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
Saturday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Sunday 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
